The “Trampoline Effect”
The Alpha RX 460 driver utilizes a thin 15-3-3-3 Titanium Active Beta face that acts almost like a trampoline when the surface strikes the ball. Looking at a club face in slow motion, you’ll see a large deformation of the face upon impact followed by a quick restoration to original dimensions, as if it were a slingshot. This “Trampoline Effect” is achieved through Active Beta Face Technology (ABT) which minimizes the face thickness and maximizes momentum transfer. The result? Faster ball speeds and longer drives.
Very Forgiving

In a normal driver, hitting off-center shots would create uncontrolled hooks or slices. The RX 460 however features a deep face with a compact width. This minimizes the distance between the shaft and the center of gravity (COG) projection on the face, thus greatly reducing the twisting on off-center shots. With the RX 460, your drives are exceptionally straight and long with minimal dispersion making them highly precise.
Discretionary mass is also placed in the heel and toe of the driver adding to its moment of inertia (MOI). Both of these factors combine to make the RX 460 driver very forgiving and great for achieving maximum distance without losing accuracy.
More Lofts

Great drivers should be available to players of all levels and swing types. Which is why the RX 460 is available in a wide range of lofts, even up to 16 degrees, for both RH and LH players.
Higher lofts are especially useful for players that are just learning how to hit a driver. The extra loft assists in getting the ball up in the air for longer ball flight and more distance.
Carbon Crown For Added Strength

The latest development of the RX 460 driver has been the addition of the carbon crown. Carbon is a very lightweight alloy with minimal mass and weight. This allows for more discretionary weight to be added to the heel and toe, thereby increasing the driver’s resistance to twisting on off-center hits. The uniqueness of the carbon crown can be seen from the driver’s top view with its dark magenta interlaced fibers that add to the frame strength and rigidity.
Titanium Golf Drivers - The Overall Benefits
Titanium is an element that has completely transformed how golf drivers are made and how they perform. More than 40% less dense than Steel, Titanium is surprisingly stronger and thus commonly used in aerospace materials. With a very high strength-to-weight ratio Titanium is the superior choice for a more solid club head and long-lasting durability. Because Titanium is an extremely light metal, this allows club designers to strategically and carefully move mass inside different areas of the club head to promote a particular performance benefit. For example adding mass to the heel and toe can help increase forgiveness, while moving mass from the crown to the sole will move the center of gravity (COG) position lower for less topspin.
The lower density of Titanium also allows the head to be made much larger in size and still possess the same strength than if a steel alloy were used. Steel's higher density means the maximum size for a wood head is about 310-320cc before the head would exceed the weight requirement for a normal club.
The biggest benefit with Titanium drivers however is in the face. Titanium allows the face to be made extremely thin yet strong. The thinner the face, the more flexible the surface which increases the initial ball speed on impact.
Utilizing Titanium, the RX460 driver is designed to be more precise in it's specifications, and have overall better player performance. The results are longer distances and more optimal trajectories which are sure to lower your score and make your game more enjoyable.
