Forgiving Irons with Super High MOI
Looking for a set of very forgiving irons? The RX-1 irons are made to straighten your trajectory and maximize distance with game-improvement perimeter weighting and an optimal center of gravity. A slightly flared sole enhances the deep cavity-back design for super high MOI and more stability during swing through. The optimal center of gravity of each iron club ensures maximum contact time with the ball. And a moderate offset helps to achieve straighter and longer shots by minimizing side-spin.
Maximum Energy Transfer
Hit better shots by transferring more energy. All too often, iron shots are made outside the center of gravity position which can reduce the amount of energy actually transferred to the ball. This can make your shot feel “heavy”, punishing you with harsh feedback. A high energy shot feels light and practically effortless. Each RX-1 iron helps to achieve powerful shots. Maximum energy is transferred by progressively placing the center of gravity optimally to ensure maximum contact time with the ball.
Double Beveled Sole
Swinging through your shot can sometimes be the hardest part of playing with irons. Which is why the RX-1 sole features beveled leading and trailing edges. This helps to smooth out your swing as well as reduce turf drag through the rough. A smoother swing means more stability and control to place the ball exactly where you want it.
CNC-Milled Accuracy
While the RX-1 irons are highly forgiving by design, all Alpha irons are crafted to be the most accurate ever played. Manufactured to exacting standards, both the grooves and entire face are CNC-milled. This not only prevents the need for painting (which many club manufactures use to hide defects), it makes the face of the RX-1 irons extremely accurate and consistent every time you take a shot. Higher accuracy means more shot precision and lower scores.
And unlike most brand name clubs, all Alpha irons are coated with “sapphire strength” nickel-chrome plating to enhance the look and protect the quality of your iron for years to come.
Matching Irons and Wedges
The forgiving RX-1 irons are one of our few iron sets that can be matched with its own Pitching, Gap, Sand, and Lob wedges. Take the guess out of which high iron or wedge club to use. Playing with a full Iron-Wedge matching set can help enhance your consistency and ensure maximum coverage in club performance and usage.
