Welcome to Daniel's Golf Store at McNix Golf

Daniel is my son and my right hand man in the golf shop. Daniel is responsible for all internet orfers.

You will find prices in Daniels Store to be lower than the prices you will pay for the same brands when you come to the golf shop and deal with me personally.

There are a number of reasons for this: Time is the main factor:
The more time we spend with each customer the more we have to chaarge for their golf clubs.
The less time we spend the lower the prices are for their clubs.

Also the more time it takes to assemble a club or a set of clubs the more that club or set of clubs will cost. When you come in the store it requires a good bit of time to talk to you, take your order and be sure we have what you want. Most of the clubs sold in the store are custom fitted and built by me personally to very exacting specifications from your custom fitting. Once the clubs are built there is the additional time when you pick up the clubs discussing your order and/or minor adjustement.

When you order from the web site we we simply have to fill your order and ship it, you have taken care of checking your order online before you send the payment. Also you only order what is available and it is a "standard" build much like the clubs in your local golf shop or golf store.

Although we do meet some custom specifications they are not usually as demanding and exacting as the custom sets built after a fitting unless you choose to pay the additional costs of custom building and blueprinting each component prior to assembly.

Building to manufacturer's instructions as the major companies do is fairly straight forward and fairlly fast, whereas building to exacting custom specifications and blueprinting all the components requires a lot of time.

For example, a shaft manufacturer may recommened trimming their shafts in 1/2 inch increments and installing them into the heads. We have a jig for this and can place a set of 8 shafts into the jig and cut them to factory specifications in a matter of a few minutes.

For custom fit clubs we measure by hitting 5 irons how long your 5 iron should be for the most consistent center face hits, and measuring with a Gap Wedge how long your Gap wedge should be, then we build your clubs by dividing the difference between the 5 iron lenght and the Gap Wedge length to insure you get the most consistent hits from longest to shortest club in the set.

The manufacturer tells us to cut them 1/2 inch from longest to shortest.

Flex matching shafts: For a custom fit set of shafts we will order 10 shafts when we need 8 shafts, and use a frequency meter to measure each shaft at the butt end, in the mid section and on the tip end to find the best matched 8 shafts in that set and then put them in order of their measurements in the sequene from most flexible in the longest iron to the least flexible in the shortest shaft.

Your standard made clubs will be made to the swingweight, length and matched to the degree you order and the more precise we have to be the more we have to charge because precision takes more time.

So, please read the options available to you and order your special order clubs to the precision you want for your game. We will do the best we can to help fit you based on the information provided, but the only way to reallly custom fit a set of clubs is to make an appointment to come in the shop and be custom fitted and pay the difference to have your clubs cusom fit for total performance enhancement.
