Accurately measuring your loft and lie is an important part of custom fitting golf clubs. Many manufacturers will sometimes have a 2° to 3° variance in the loft marked on the head and the actual loft on the face. This can have a dramatic impact on your ball flight and distance. Not to mention the face angle that could be open or hooked to various degrees and can change the direction of your ball flight. With our Accusport Vector Launch monitor we can accurately measure you launch angle to determine the proper loft you need to maximize distance.
There are 3 factors that will determine your ability to achieve the best launch angle for you, 1. Ball placement in your stance, 2. Tee height, and 3. the loft on your driver. All of this can be checked and measured during a fitting session thanks to having the proper equipment to measure not only your golf clubs but your launch angle and ball spin rate also.
Many shops have a golf club bending machines but bending machines are designed to bend clubs, not to accurately measure the loft and lie. Not all bending machine will accurately measure your loft and lie, many of them only measures accurately the amount the club is bent. Due to the many variations of iron head designs the bending machine cannot be adjusted to account for changes in sole bounce, camber, and wider or narrower sole widths such as those on blades versus deep cavity backs. For example a sand wedge with 12° bounce will measure less loft than an identical sand wedge with only 8° bounce, even though they may both have 56° of loft. The bending machine will cause you to adjust the loft when this may not be necessary. We often see several degrees of variance between the bending machine measurement and the actual loft and lie on irons. The small fee paid to have your clubs accurately measured can make a dramatic difference in your ability to play the game and score lower. Shaft Blueprinting and Profiling Flex Matching (Frequency Matching) Spine Alignment and Flat Line Oscillation The Auditor Electronic Flex Sorter, Zone Profiler & Spine Locator with shaft profiling software. This machine is used for measuring shaft flex in grams for precise flex sorting and matching. It is used for zone profiling anywhere along the shaft to help find the proper shaft characteristics to match your golf swing. The electronic shaft flex sorter and zone profiler provides an accurate and consistent method of measuring the flex and bending profile of shafts to aid in the shaft selection process, and provides us with the means to neutralize the undesired effects of the shaft spine and flex match a whole set of clubs to a desired stiffness slope to optimize feel and consistency in your golf clubs.
