Dan & Dave's Store is the internet outlet for McNix Golf. McNix Golf is a Custom Fitting Golf Shop owned and operated by Roy Nix. Dan & Dave are the sons of Roy Nix. Roy Nix is the Founder and Director or the Association of Golf Club Fitting Professionals www.agcpgolf.com . Roy has been a Golf Professional since 1967 and has been tinkering with and building clubs since before then. Even in College Roy was bending and weighting clubs to make them better. Roy does fittings and builds custom fitted and custom assembled clubs for his customers. Dan & Dave help in the shop and have been around clubmaking for all of the years Roy's shop has been open. Dan & Dave assemble the "off the shelf" clubs to sell in the shop while Roy works on the custom fitted clubs. Dan & Dave also do a lot of the repair work for Roy. They have a lot of experience and a lot of skills, and they build good clubs.
Like Roy, Dan & Dave know that pre-assembled clubs are not a perfect fit, but they realize that everyone can't come to Columbus Georgia and get fitted. Even if they could Roy can’t fit and build for all of them as he is Semiretired and only does 2 fittings a week and builds 2 sets of clubs a weak now Dan & Dave reason that the next best thing to fitted clubs might be to make some of the finer Custom Designer heads available as pre-assembled sets at reasonable prices that most golfers can afford. So Dan & Dave make all the designer heads and shafts available in assembled sets that you can order the way you want them. Dan & Dave believe some of building techniques used in custom fitted sets will help most gofers improve even if their sets are not fitted to their swing. If you order and/or Email or call it is likely that you will talk to Roy about your clubs to get the best advice possible before Dan & Dave build them for you. Dan has a full time job and Dave is a full time college student and are not around the shop during business hours. If you want prices on some of the "call for pricing" sets etc. shoot Roy an Email and he will call you as soon as possible with a price and tell you how to order the clubs that we can't advertise prices on. If you want to order one of the name brand sets, shoot us an Email r.nix@mcnixgolf.com and check on any "in shop" sales that might be in place when you order. Sometimes we have clearance sales in the shop with prices too low to advertise and keep our contract agreements with the companies we buy from.
